Our play park offers a fun and interactive area for children aged up to 9. Children can climb, swing and slide as well as enjoy our balance bike track for those early bike enthusiasts and future Olympians! The park has been very well designed with soft floor covering most of the play area to help cushion those unexpected falls.
Perfectly situated in front of park benches and the cafe it allows parents to keep an eagle like eye on their children whist enjoying a sit down and refreshment. Toilets and baby changing facilities are located next to the cafe for those urgent calls of nature.
A sensory room with an interactive floor can be found in the Salvation Army Hub, where visitors can focus on their sense of touch, vision, hearing, smell and taste, as well as experiencing wellbeing, space, time and togetherness. The room can be used by people of all ages and abilities for complete relaxation. It can be also be specially adapted to engage children and adults with autism or learning difficulties. There are a number of open days where the sensory room can be used for free, on all other days the sensory room can be booked through the Welcome desk in the Sensory Room Entrance located next to the Hub cafe.
Bookings can be made to use the room between 10am – 4pm Monday -Friday – There are some regular bookings, so please call before visiting to check availability.

This facility provides a series of rolling features and berms to test your ability to ‘pump’ speed from the trail. Older Children can change their weight distribution on the bike to generate speed from the features by pushing downwards with their arms and legs on the back sides of the features without having to use their pedals. However it can also be used younger children on balance bikes to improve their skills whilst learning to ride.
This area is designed to help you develop and practice your bike handling skills and improve your riding technique. The Skills Area is graded ‘Orange’ which means it is suitable for off-road cyclists ranging from beginners to experts. There is a Teaching Area and 8 features for people to try: Rock Steps, Berms, Tabletops, Drop-offs, Rock Causeway, Technical Climb, Rock Garden and Rock Rolls.
